Troop 612 is one of the oldest Boy Scout Troops of the Tres Ranchos  District which is part of the San Francisco Bay Area Council. We have been chartered with the San Lorenzo Community Church for over 40 years.  Presently there are about 30 active Scouts.

Our Troop meets every Tuesday at 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.  We meet at the Church Social Hall at
945 Paseo Grande in San Lorenzo

The second Monday of every month the there is a Parent - Leader meeting at 7:30 in the Gainsburger Chapel of the Church.

The Troop is divided into patrols of 5 to 10 Scouts. The Leadership Corp are the experienced, older and trained Scouts of the Troop. The other Patrols are made up of Scouts who are of similar ages, and who are working on the same ranks.

This is a Scout run troop. The Scouts plan and execute their own program. The more experienced Scouts are expected to train and help the new Scouts.  The adult Scouters and parents provide support and guidance, but the program is decided and carried out by the Scouts.

Troop 612 has a year round outings program. Every month there is an overnight outing planned and two long term outings a year. These are Summer Camp and a 50-mile hike.  This program helps to keep all the Scouts active in the Troop, and provides the Scouts with a opportunity for fun, new skills and advancement.
