Wente Scout Reservation is a Nationally Accredited Boy Scout camp located near Willits in Mendocino County. The 80 acre lake offers outstanding swimming, boating, and fishing. With 2200 acres the camp offers a great variety of programs. Wente Scout Reservation boasts one of the best Boy Scout mountain bike programs in California. You can climb on the Rock, go on one of many horse rides offered by the Risin’ W Corral, or test your skill at the rifle, shotgun, black powder or archery ranges. Wente offers 53 Merit Badges as well as many awards to earn and lots of fun activities. It's never to early to start planning for summer camp. The camp fee this year is extimated to be $325.00. This fee will include the cost of all transportation and meals. The troop committee has set a schedule for payments:

Many fund raisers will be scheduled over the next several months. Wente has set a late fee of $20 if all payments are not made by the May 5th, 2009 date.

IMPORTANT
Scouting requires that each participant, youth or adult complete a Medical Update and Permission to Treat form each year. Please use the SFBAC Medical Form from the council web site.
Parts A and C need to be completed by all who attend camp this year.
Part C (doctor's physical examimination) must be completed by all Adults 40 years or older, and by all others who have not had such an examine since July 5, 2006. It is to be completed and signed by a certified and licensed health-care provider.
